FRISCO ARTS FESTIVAL KICK OFF PARTY

On August 18, Newman Village and Frisco Arts hosted a Kick Off Party for the upcoming Frisco Arts Festival, Oct. 16-18.

The 130+ guests enjoyed food, wine and entertainment by Frisco Jazz Band soloists, Dan Grundl and Joel Pipkin.

Sketch artists created fun party favors for the guests to take home, and festival artists "wowed" the crowd with their working art in progress.

"Who is Frisco Arts?"

Frisco Arts is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, community based organization formed by citizens and business leaders and serves as a vital agent and community partner in supporting and promoting the arts in Frisco. Frisco is a young and growing community, and Frisco Arts recognizes that the arts are an important tool for educational, economic and community development. Frisco Arts was recently designated the Local Arts Agency for the City of Frisco through a resolution by the City Council.

In 2008, Frisco Arts hosted over 300 art related events at our facility at 6827 Main Street. More than 3,000 people attended these events. In addition, we also provide grants, scholarships, and sponsorships to a variety of local art groups who bring art to the citizens of Frisco.
