Who Are We?
The Frisco Advisory Board is a group of teens that meets regularly to create and promote young adult
programs and events. The group advises the library's youth librarians in creating programs and maintaining
interesting young adult literature and media collections.
Why Should I Join?
The Frisco Advisory Board is a great opportunity to become an active part of the local young adult community.
Members have voting privileges that influence policies for FAB, the library, and the community. Board membership
is an excellent way to build leadership experience.
As a member of FAB you'll be eligible to receive volunteer credit for your time and efforts. Volunteer
experience is valuable for college applications and future career endeavors. Librarians who work with FAB
are happy to reward your hard work with great job references and letters of recommendation.
Most importantly, the Frisco Advisory Board is a great way to meet new people outside of school. Meetings
and events are terrific places to cut loose and have fun!
How Do I Join?
Please pick up a FAB application in the teen room. Return the completed application to the librarian in
the teen room any time we're open, or just bring it to a meeting. If you'd like to see what we're all
about before joining, feel free to come to a meeting and check it out!
