Presents Multi-Media World Salute to Young Artists featuring
The Planets by Gustav Holst with animated NASA photography from outer space and Collin County Young Artist Competition Grand Prize Winners
| What: |
The universe has always been a source of awe since the first humans gazed up at the
stars and wondered about their purpose on Earth. Gustav Holst's The Planets, a multi-media symphonic
sensation and one of the most thrilling works of the repertoire, combine with visuals of our
universe to thrill and inspire you. Then, be simply amazed by the Grand Prize Winners of
the Collin County Young Artist competition in their prize-winning concerto performances.
David Morgan, a distinguished piano judge for this completion had this to say, "I have lived
and performed in New York City for 38 years and I was still knocked out by the sheer number
of people who played so well. Some of these young artists performed their concerto as well
as any experienced professional. I can’t wait to hear them in their performance with the symphony!"
