The evening highlight will be the staging of "Princess Aurora's Wedding" from Act III of Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty. Performing the role Princess Aurora will be Michele Gifford, who performed George Balanchine's famous "Rubies” Pas de Duex with company during the spring 2007 concert. Prince Florimond will be performed by Yevgeni Anfinogenov, from Ballet Metropolitan. Michel Gifford will also perform a solo that was createrd especially for her by Texas Christian University ballet director Elizabeth Gillaspy called "Loralie". The German legend of Lorelei – the siren of the Rhine – is the inspiration for choreographer Elizabeth Gillaspy's solo that looks beyond the siren’s allure to the pathos of her eternal isolation.

Collin County Ballet Theatre has invited Linda Brown a Dallas area known teacher and choreographer to create a new ballet to open the evening's concert. Ms. Brown utilizes the talents of the CCBT Youth Ensemble and Resident Company to create this new ballet.

"Dancing Through Time" will also include a fun and stylish jazz ballet work choreographed by Michael Mayes, artistic director the Dallas-based dance company CompanyMayes. Mr. Mayes brings his eclectic style of choreography to create a new work blending ballet & jazz techniques.
